Introducing Hatman of Ireland

Established in 2003, Hatman is a family-run business based in County Galway, in the west of Ireland. Founded by Gerry Moran, who grew up in rural Ireland in the 1960s watching his grandmother knit woollen garments to clothe family and friends through a career spanning over 30 years in the textile industry, Gerry developed a love for handcrafted Irish designs created from natural fibres, particularly fine Woollen yarns and Tweeds.

This passion to produce beautiful headwear & accessories of remarkable quality has been passed through the generations of our family and we source only the best fabrics from the traditional Woollen Mills of Ireland, Yorkshire in the North of England and The Outer Hebrides of Scotland, to complete a fabulous variety of textures, colours and patterns. Offering warmth & durability, our designs are handcrafted with a skill & care Hatman of Ireland are extremely proud of.
