Since 1918, Canadian Hat has been renowned around the world for its mink, fox and beaver, as well as felt, straw, and wool hats. Since the fifties, under the André signature, their high-end hats have been sought after in London and Paris.

1918
In the early 20th century the millinery Leopold & Leopold was already renowned for its elegant headwear.
1948
As Canadian Hat in 1948, the company became famous worldwide for its mink, fox and beaver, as well as felt, straw, and wool hats. Since the fifties, under the André signature, their high-end hats are sought after in London and Paris.
2017
The new designer Mariouche Gagné honed with 20 years of fashion experience starts to work on the new collections in collaboration Canadian Hat’s team. Her sense of design, colour, and fabric enhances the beautiful hats that have Canadian Hat’s reputation for the past 100 years. The harsh Canadian climate has been inspiring her to create hats that keep the head warm and protected, and are flattering. Under her leadership, Canadian Hat provides hat collections for all four seasons, using top quality and comfortable materials, exclusive furs and well-structured felts.
2019
Harricana’s recycling mission is transferred to Canadian Hat. New hats adorned with recycled ties are added to the collection, as are bucket hats made with recycled jeans.
2020
The workshop moves to the famous Wellington Street in Verdun and opens its doors in a new era boutique alongside Harricana products. Sharing our heritage is at the heart of this new direction. The new workshop-boutique offers guided tours with designer Mariouche and on-site shopping with boutique experts.
